A725 Blantyre | Resurfacing

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A725 eastbound at Main Street in Blantyre, including the on and off slips, from 8pm on Tuesday 23rd June until 6am on Wednesday 24th June 2026.

This work will require an overnight closure of the eastbound A725 and traffic will be diverted via the off slip to Main Street and the second exit at the roundabout, where traffic will be able to re-join the A725. During this work, a single lane closure on the A725 eastbound approach to Main Street will be in operation.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.
