A68 Pathhead | Ironwork Improvements
Temporary traffic lights will be in place on the A68 through Pathhead at the end of this month, to allow Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland to complete ironwork improvements on the trunk road.
The works will take place during off-peak daytime hours on Tuesday 28, Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 April, with traffic lights in place between 09:30 and 15:30.
The traffic lights will be removed out with these working hours.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These ironwork improvement works will involve noisy operations. We understand that the site is close to residential properties, therefore we’ll do the work during the daytime and will implement noise reduction measures where possible.
“We thank the local community for their patience and understanding.”
Consultation has taken place with emergency services and other relevant stakeholders to share information about the project in advance.
All work is weather dependent and subject to postponement in the event of adverse conditions.
