A68 North Of Earlston | Embankment Repairs
Temporary traffic lights will be in place on the A68 north of Earlston for the next few days, while Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland carries out repairs to the roadside embankment.
BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager Tommy Deans explained: “While carrying out landscaping works next to the A68 last night, we identified a section of the embankment that had deteriorated and needs to be repaired.”
“Temporary traffic lights will be in place for the next few days for the safety of road users and the workforce while this repair is completed. We expect to finish the job by the end of the week.
“We’re grateful to road users and local residents for their understanding.”
All works are dependent on the weather and subject to rearrangement in the event of adverse conditions.
