Resurfacing works on the A83 Lochgilphead

Due to delays to works at A83 Artilligan works at A83 Lochgilphead have been pushed back and are now due to start on Sunday 28 April.
BEAR Scotland is set to improve the A83 in Lochgilphead from Cossack Street to Colchester Square, on behalf of Transport Scotland.
The work, involving resurfacing and refreshing road markings, will start on Sunday 28 April at 5pm and finish by Wednesday 9 May at 2am.
Please note that there will be no works during the May Bank Holiday Weekend between Friday 3 to Monday 6 May.
There will be lane closures and traffic lights in place with a convoy system to manage traffic. Parking from Cossack Street to Argyll Street will be restricted between 4pm and 5am each work night from 28 April until 9 May, except from 03 May at 5am to 07 May at 4pm. These measures will protect the public and allow workers to complete the project safely.
Outside work times the road will be open, but there will be a speed limit of 30mph.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said, “We are refreshing the A83 in Lochgilphead to give road users a better experience. Our team will work hard to finish the scheme safely and swiftly, and we’re grateful to the community and drivers for their patience.”
