The A90 northbound carriageway heading towards Forfar is set to benefit from a £665,000 resurfacing scheme that will deliver improvements to the road surface.

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will carry out overnight resurfacing on more than 1200 metres of the A90 northbound carriageway at Gallowfauld, to the south of Forfar, from Sunday 21st April to Friday 3rd May.

The improvements will be undertaken from South Tarbrax to the Muiryfaulds Junction.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the work will be undertaken under an overnight convoy between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night.

No works will take place overnight on Friday 26th April and Saturday 27th April.

The resurfacing will benefit more than 12,000 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
