Night-Time Essential Surfacing Improvements Planned on the A87 North of Broadford

Motorist using the A87 will benefit from an improved road surface as resurfacing works are set to be carried out next month. The resurfacing improvements will make the road more durable and resilient against inclement weather, as well as providing a safer road for road users.

The works are provisionally programmed for construction from Monday 29 April to Tuesday 
7 May with no works taking place on Saturdays or Sundays. Works will be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 6am each night under a 10mph convoy with temporary traffic lights. Outwith these hours traffic management will be removed however, a 30mph speed limit will remain in place (where applicable), as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.

We need to carry out these works before the expected increase in traffic volumes during the summer period. Unfortunately, this means that our works in Broadford and the ongoing works by Scottish Water will run concurrently for the week.

It will also be necessary to restrict access/egress at Pairc Nan Craobh Industrial Estate during the working hours of 7pm to 6am whilst surfacing takes place past this junction. You may be asked to wait until it is safe to enter/exit.
