M8 & M77 | Sign Gantry Maintenance

M8/M77 Interchange

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential overnight overhead gantry sign maintenance on the eastbound M8 and northbound M77:

Northbound M77: Total overnight closures of northbound M77 carriageway between Junctions 2 and 1 from Monday 22nd April until Friday 26th April, between the hours of 8pm and 6am, each night.

Eastbound M8: Total overnight closures of eastbound M8 between Junctions 29 and 26 from Monday 13th May until Friday 17th May, between the hours of 8pm and 6am, each night.
 

Diversion Information

Northbound M77: Traffic will be directed to take the Junction 2 (Pollokshaws) off-slip towards Pollok and take the third exit at the roundabout on to Fairchild Avenue. Traffic will then be directed to Pollock Roundabout via Barrhead Road, and take the third exit on to Brockburn Road to follow Crookstron Road and Paisley Road West. Traffic will then turn on to Mosspark Boulevard and Dumbreck Road, where it will be able to re-join the M77 northbound.
 

Eastbound M8 (Monday 13th May – Wednesday 15th May): Traffic will be directed to exit the M8 eastbound at Junction 29 and take the third exit on the St James Interchange Roundabout on to the A726. Traffic will then be directed to follow St James’ Street, Renfrew Road and Arkleston Road, where it will be able to re-join the M8 eastbound at Junction 26.
 

Eastbound M8 (Monday 13th May – Friday 17th May): Traffic will be directed to exit the M8 eastbound at Junction 29 and take the third exit on the St James Interchange Roundabout on to the A726. Traffic will then follow Incle Street, Glasgow Road and Sandwood Road, before continuing through the roundabouts to stay on Hillington Road. At the Hillington Interchange, traffic will take the third exit and re-join the M8 eastbound.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
