A75 Glenluce- Resurfacing Works

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A75 at Glenluce from Monday 6th May until Sunday 2nd June 2024.

The work will be carried out using a combination of an overnight convoy system, daytime temporary traffic lights and 24-hour lane closures on the three-lane section of the A75.

Access to Glenluce via Old Military Road and Main Street, and to local roads including the A747, will be restricted at times while works are taking place across the junctions, as follows:

Monday 6th to Saturday 11th May – western Glenluce junction (Old Military Road) closed
Wednesday 8th and Saturday 11th May (two nights only) – Stairhaven junctions closed
Sunday 26th May to Saturday 1st June – eastern Glenluce junction (Main Street) and A747 Port William junction closed
 

Glenluce junctions

Access when the Old Military Road is closed will be via Main Street, and vice versa.
A747 Port William junction

Traffic for the A747 will follow the A75 east to Newton Stewart and take the third exit at the Wigtown Road roundabout before turning right onto the B7005 at Culquhirk and continuing through Bladnoch and turning right onto the A747 at Alticry. Traffic wishing to join the A75 will follow the route in reverse.
Stairhaven (Sewage works and Corsehead) junctions

Traffic for Milton/Stairhaven will continue east on the A75 and turn right onto the A747 then turn right at the Stairhaven junction. Traffic wishing to join the A75 will follow the route in reverse.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
