Media Update: Essential Daytime Surfacing Improvements Planned on the A9, North Of Drumochter at Dalnaspidal

•    Project to continue on Tuesday 29th November for four nights
•    Night-time convoy with lane closures in place for safety, 7pm to 6am
 
 
Please be advised that surfacing improvements on the A9 north of the Drumochter dual carriageway at Dalnaspidal will now be completed at night-time. The works will resume at 7pm on Tuesday 29th November 2022.
 
The essential improvements will take up to four nights to complete. The project will take place between 7pm and 6am each night with surfacing and lining due to be completed by 6am on Saturday 3rd December.
 
To ensure the safety of road workers and motorists, the works will be undertaken under 10mph convoy with lane closures and temporary traffic lights during working hours. 
 
The road will be open outwith working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, however a speed restriction of 30mph will remain in place as traffic will be running over a temporary surface. 
 
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
