UPDATE (14/11/24): One additional overnight carriageway closure will be required for the installation of traffic loops, between 19:30 and 06:00 on the night of Monday 25 November.

The M9 southbound carriageway between Junction 5 Cadgers Brae and Junction 4 Lathallan will be closed for resurfacing between 19:30 and 06:00 on the nights of Thursday 21, Friday 22 November and Monday 25 November.

A signed diversion route will be in place from the M9 Junction 5 southbound off-slip via the A905 to Cadgers Brae Roundabout, the A9 and the B805, continuing via the A803 Polmont Rd and Main St to M9 Junction 4 Lathallan. This diversion will add approximately 7.2 miles and 16 minutes to affected journeys.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and other relevant stakeholders to make them aware of the plans in advance.

Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “We thank road users and the local community in advance for their patience while we carry out these resurfacing improvements.

“It is essential that we close the carriageway to ensure the safety of workers and road users, however we’ve planned the works to take place overnight to minimise disruption.’’
