Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential parapet upgrades at Junction 2 of the M77 on the B762 Barrhead Road overbridge from Monday 20th March until Friday 7th April 2023, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, each day.

This scheme will benefit around 30,000 vehicles using this route each day, improving pedestrian and vehicle safety alike, by reinforcing the parapets and reducing access to the edge of the structure.

The work will be carried out using 24-hour single lane closures on the B762 Barrhead Road on the eastbound and westbound carriages. Full closures of the B762 can be expected to install and remove the traffic management.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Road users are advised to allow extra time to complete any journeys during this period. We thank you for your co-operation and patience while these essential works take place.

Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
