Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are carrying out essential drainage work on the A78 between Seamill and Waterside Hotel from Monday 28th November 2022 until Monday 12th December 2022.

This scheme, with a value of £45,000, will benefit around 12,000 vehicles using this route each day, by diverting an SGN gas line and facilitating future drainage improvements in the area.

The work will be carried out 24 hours a day, using 3-way temporary traffic lights for the duration of the work. These temporary traffic lights will be in place from 9:30am on Monday 28th November 2022 and will be removed by 7pm on Monday 12th December 2022.  We thank road users for their patience and co-operation while these essential works take place.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
