UPDATE (26/11/24): Due to adverse weather the work schedule on this scheme has been pushed back a day.

Overnight work will now take place from Tuesday 26th November to Friday 29th November.

Work will take place under overnight road closures between 7.30pm and 6.30am on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th November, then overnight convoy between 7.30pm and 6.30am on Thursday 28th November.

Traffic management is scheduled to be removed by 6.30am Friday 29th November.

Amey is undertaking overnight surfacing improvements on the A90 between Lonmay and Rathen in Aberdeenshire from Tuesday 5th November to Friday 15th November.

The £345,000 project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will address defects on approximately 935 metre length of the A90 trunk road.

Work will take place from Spillers Bridge in Cortes village, Lonmay, to south of the A952 junction at Rathen.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight road closures between 7.30pm and 6.30am.

All traffic management is scheduled to be removed by 6.30am on Friday 15th November.

The following diversion will be in place during the overnight road closures.

Northbound traffic can leave the A90 at Peterhead and take the A950 west to Mintlaw. Traffic can then take the third exit at The Square roundabout and head north to rejoin the A90 at Rathen. Southbound traffic will take the route in reverse.

The resurfacing will benefit more than 7,100 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
