A7 Selkirk Town Centre | Investigative Works

A7 Selkirk Town Centre
17th of November 2025, 7:30pm to 21st of November 2025, 6:00am

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on the A7 through Selkirk town centre between 19:30 and 06:00 on the nights of Monday 17 to Thursday 20 November, to allow Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland to carry out investigative works to guide and inform future improvements.

The traffic lights will be in place between Ettrick Terrace crossroads and Hillside Terrace.

Emergency services will be given access through the works at all times.

Relevant stakeholders have been consulted in advance to make them aware of the plans.

Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These investigative works will comprise digital surveys to guide and inform future road improvements in Selkirk.

“Temporary traffic lights are necessary for the safety of the workforce. We’re grateful to road users and local residents for their understanding.”

All work is weather dependent and subject to postponement or cancellation in the event of adverse conditions.
